Our practice nurses see patients by appointment only. They offer treatment room services for minor injuries, blood tests, minor surgery, dressings, ear syringing, cervical smears, travel immunisations, ECGs and blood pressure checks. Some are specialist nurses in chronic disease management areas such as asthma, diabetes, coronary heart disease, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, hypertension (high blood pressure), teenage health and contraceptive services.
Receptionists
Our reception team assist patients with their enquiries and requests, on the telephone and at the reception desk.
Dispensers
Our dispensing team dispense medication prescribed by the doctors. They are here to help you when collecting your medication.
Administrative
And Secretarial Staff
Our administrative staff are here to help you. They deal with repeat prescriptions,
referrals to specialists, information management, statistics and private medical
work.
Counsellor
Michael Wright
If your doctor feels that you are troubled with anxiety, depression, stress or relationship problems, you may be referred to our counsellor at the practice. He is only available one day per week so appointments to see him sometimes involve a wait. If you are offered an appointment to see him it is important to notify us if you are unable to attend.
He is also available for private consultations.
Primary
Health Care Team
The following members of staff are employed by Northamptonshire Primary Care Trust and are based at Bugbrooke Medical Practice. They can be contacted at the surgery.
Community
Nursing Team
The community nursing team care for patients who need nursing at home eg the chronically sick, housebound and elderly. They also provide advice on incontinence and nursing assessments for ongoing care.
Health Visitors
The health visitors work mainly with mothers and children under five years of age and can be contacted via their direct telephone line (01604) 831779. Please see the clinics page for a full list of the services they offer.
Midwife

The midwife works with the partners to provide antenatal and postnatal care for our patients.
